1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering with or using Taifa Care, you confirm that you understand and accept these Terms & Conditions. These terms govern your access to our healthcare services, digital platforms, and any interactions with hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare providers within the Taifa Care network.
2. Eligibility
Taifa Care services are available to Kenyan citizens or legal residents eligible for enrollment under the Social Health Authority (SHA). Individuals under 18 years of age must register through a parent or guardian. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility criteria.
3. Services Provided
Taifa Care provides access to a network of public, private, and faith-based healthcare facilities, along with digital platforms for registration, claims, and service management. Our services include preventive care, outpatient services, inpatient care, maternity services, chronic disease management, and other health-related programs. Availability may vary depending on your location and the participating facilities.
4. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete, and current personal and payment information.
- Use our services lawfully and ethically.
- Comply with the rules and guidelines of healthcare providers.
- Avoid misusing or attempting to compromise our digital platforms.
5. Contributions and Payments
Contributions are based on income, typically 2.75% of gross income with a minimum monthly contribution of Ksh 300. Payment of contributions is required to access full services. Late, incorrect, or missed payments may result in suspension of services until resolved.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal and health information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Taifa Care, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your data for service provision, administrative purposes, and legal compliance. All personal information is handled securely, with strict access control and encryption.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, software, logos, graphics, and materials provided by Taifa Care are the property of Taifa Care and protected under intellectual property laws. Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without prior written consent from Taifa Care.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Personal injury, loss, or other harm related to healthcare services.
- Delays, errors, or unavailability of services due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Decisions made by healthcare providers regarding medical care.
9. Termination of Access
Taifa Care reserves the right to suspend or terminate user access to services for violations of these Terms & Conditions, unlawful behavior, or misuse of our platforms. Termination does not relieve users of any outstanding contributions or obligations.
10. Modifications to Terms
Taifa Care may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Updates will be published on our website, and your continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Users are encouraged to review these terms regularly.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising under or related to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
